Considering the amount of money we were charged for the tower we were hopeful the rooms would at-least be clean and buy we’re we wrong. They did move us rooms to the tower but that came with a huge Up charge of over $500.00! We drive 10 hours, my wife and kids were tired so we really had no choice last minute but to stay. We would not have booked this motel knowing this.
FLAMINGO BEACH RESORT FULL
Upon arrival we were very upset to see the court side (old garden) pool was closed and full construction going on. We booked a cabana room, the staff said the pools were open and they advertised both pool on Facebook. We looked past the reviews and didn’t think it would be terrible. Before coming down this year (June 2023) we seen many bad reviews since changing Ownership. We have been here many times as we loved the family owned aspect. Well I’m going to give my opinion on what used to be a great Motel on the Gulf. I would never recommend this hotel and anyone who says otherwise is lying🤷♀️🚩🚩🚩🪳🪳🪳… We definitely took the refund and went looking for another place at 2:30 am. She said no she doesn't need to see them (she knew this place was a roach motel) and asked if we wanted to move to the other building or if we wanted a refund. At first she seemed surprised, so I told her I have pictures she could see. We knew we were not about to sleep in the beds and leave our belongings out for the hugs to go back home with us! We down to notify the front desk. There was a hole in the wall.the place has been neglected. On the floor, in the cabinets, crawling on the refrigerator and counter tops. After coming in from the beach and us really looking around we found dead and alive roaches.everywhere. It took some pulling and yanking for it to finally open. We headed straight to the beach, went to open our door to the pool area (we were on the pool level) and it was rusted shut. Th desk clerk had the personality of a wet rag. We got there around midnight, checked in at the desk. On he beach they do offer chair rentals that are the wooden folding chairs, not the lounge chairs, we rented those and they were great.I will definitely stay there again!! Keep your prices low always!!! Perfect place on the beach at an awesome price!! … The kitchen appliances worked and stocked with a few utensils and pots and pans. Staff is very kind and accommodating!! The building is an older one so there are a few rusty blemishes along the door and it was kinda hard to open and close, but that is from the salty air, they are doing renovations but there wasmt any noise or commotion at all! A new tiki bar is in progress so I can't wait to see what excitement that will bring! The beds were very comfy, plenty of pillows and blankets. We enjoyed our stay very much, had extra blankets, clean towels and toilet paper brought to us the day after we checked in on our 2 night stay. No elevator on the motel part, just stairs.the elevator is at the tower, no connection to the motel part at all, just an alley way.
